Stairs Update

We now "make" Hailey climb the stairs most times we are going up. It is not quite as much fun as when she thinks she is getting away with something but she has no trouble crawling up.

Thanks to one last generous Christmas gift, Hailey's Little People world has grown to include a castle.

Today Hailey had her usual occupational therapy session.

Standing Next to Daddy

Tonight I was standing in the living room when all of the sudden I felt Hailey standing next to me hugging my leg. She had stood up next to the couch and then moved from using it for support to grabbing on to me. I was close enough that no walking was required but it had to have taken a little leap of faith to let go of the couch and lean out to me since I was not standing directly next to it.

Diaper Size Change at Night

Hailey has gone up a diaper size at night to size three. This move came after two nights in a row with leaks, which has not happened at all since she came home. She will still be in size 2-3 during the day until our supply is gone in a couple of weeks.

The only reason we had any size three diapers to try dates back to the hospital when Megan, one of her primary nurses, took to double diapering her with a size 3 over her regular diaper. Since a bag of size 3 had been opened for Hailey they were sent home with us when she left the hospital.

A Movie

Hailey stood up in her crib and was pulling on her mobile, so it had to be removed.

For the first time since Hailey was born Christine and I went to a movie together, seeing the IMAX 3D version of Avatar this afternoon while Grandma and Grandpa babysat.

One Year Ago - Purple Fists

Couch

Hailey is attempting to get up on the couch several times a day. She tries to get her knee up onto the cushion but is still a few inches short of her goal.

One Year Ago - Daddy Day Care

Happy New Year 2010

Hailey started the New Year with a trip to a restaurant, her first trip out of the house (with the exception of going to Grandma and Grandpa's) since a tiny bit of trick or treating at Halloween. Hailey enjoyed the attention of the other kids at our table.

She was less excited back home by the new gate at the bottom of our stairs. We opened it a time or two for her to climb up on her own when we were there to watch.
