Strike

Today the nurses at many of the Twin Cities hospitals went on a one day strike. This included "our" nurses at "our" hospitals: Saint John's, United, and Children's. We are very glad to be home with Logan and not experiencing today from inside of a hospital.

This afternoon we had a six month Early Childhood Education evaluation and planning meeting. Now that Hailey is walking the emphasis will switch from physical to cognative development. Her occupational therapy sessions will drop down to once a quarter and her sessions with a teacher will be weekly. This is the opposite of the current ratio of OT every week, and quarterly sessions with the teacher.

After the meeting we took Hailey and Logan out to get Hailey's hair cut for a second time. Logan slept through the entire experience. Unlike the first hair cut, Hailey did not cry, although she came close at one point.

Hailey's willingness to eat vegetables has gotten worse and worse each week. We bought some V8 juice to see if we could get some vegetables in her that way. She tried it for the first time tonight and seemed to like it but then managed to get the lid off her sippy cup and it went everywhere. This has happened before with milk, but without all the effects that a staining red liquid brings to the equation.
