In August 2009, we made a big change to Hailey's crib, flattening it and removing the danny sling. Prior to that she had been sleeping on a pretty large incline to help with her reflux.
This afternoon we took another big step as I converted Hailey's crib to a toddler bed while she and Christine were over at Target. Logan was very cooperative and let me finish almost all the work before he demanded some attention.
The first thing Hailey did when she saw it was climb in and pull down the stuffed animals I had put across the headboard. The second thing she did was toss those and the other stuffed animals I had put on the mattress out onto her floor. She was smiling, having a great time.
At bedtime she climbed in and went into her regular corner, the front left. With the guardrail there, the effect is pretty much the same as it was before. The rails are spaced a little wider and obviously not as tall as the crib front but the view for her is similar.
So, the initial reaction went well. Bedtime went well. Now comes the real test. How will she sleep?
