Hailey has two new talents in her repertoire.
The first mainly involves blocks but can include other larger toys. She continues her usual pattern of picking up the block, examining several sides and then putting it in her mouth. The difference comes when she is done. She used to just drop the block in front of her. Now she holds it in her hand, extends her arm behind her body and gives the block a toss. This can result in blocks landing several feet behind her.
Her other new talent is a variation on standing in front of the couch. She has been crawling up to the couch for awhile, using objects or people as a ladder to get into a standing position and then the standing has not lasted long unless we helped support her. Tonight she pulled herself up from a sitting position, hanging on to the seat cushion. The standing then continued not just for the usual few seconds but for over two minutes as she flipped through a Toys R Us flier that had gotten her attention.
