Hailey is an adjusted age of ten months old today.
In today's occupational therapy session Hailey got to ride a rocking horse but did not like it. There was also some practice of moving from a sitting to standing (leaning against the couch) position. In that effort Hailey had more fun playing with the phone book booster seat she was sitting on than she did with standing practice itself.
Hailey is now able to go from crawling to sitting and back again at will and is trying to climb up and over things to the point of almost standing. Usually the "standing" comes out of a crawl and not the sitting position so the OT exercise was something new for her.
After months of knowing teething could begin at any time, the moment has finally arrived. Running ones finger on her gums, the top teeth are starting to be noticeable. The bottom teeth are much more prominent to the point of feeling sharp. During a moment when Hailey was willing to have her tongue moved out of the way Christine was able to see two of the bottom teeth poking through.
As a result of the teething Hailey spent a lot of this evening being fussy and crying. We gave her a tiny amount of Infant Tylenol and she went right to sleep.
