Overnight Christine ended up spending much of the night in Hailey's room as Hailey would not settle down and go to sleep.
At 8am we had our third and final preliminary meeting with the school district. This meeting was with a school district program coordinator, who was also in the other two meetings, a Ramsey County service coordinator, and the individual who will be coming to the house for the actual sessions. The plan is now in place for Hailey to have weekly sessions that will each last about one hour with an occupational therapist who is also trained in other disciplines. Her first session will be next Wednesday and then there will be a few weeks without sessions due to the holidays.
Tonight I had put various leftovers in the oven and decided to use the waiting time to work on the kitchen sink. It had a very slow drip since sometime this summer and during the last week that drip has picked up the pace. In turning off the valves under the sink I turned a small problem into a real issue.
I'm guessing the hot water valve had not been touched since the house was built in 1982 and just by turning it I created a new much more aggressive leak at the valve that unlike the faucet leak did not go innocently into the sink. Tracing back the pipe all the way to the water heater without another valve left me no choice but to turn off hot water to the whole house. A friend is coming over tomorrow morning to help me fix the situation, but plans for Hailey's bath tonight have been canceled.
