This afternoon Hailey was running towards the couch, tripped, and hit the center of her face pretty solidly on the nail head trim. It was so sad to see her go from the height of total joy to the depth of pain and sorrow in a split second. Christine and I both watched it happen, just out of reach to do anything about it.
For the most part she is a pretty tough girl. When she wipes out she usually brushes herself off, while saying "brush, brush," and moves on. This however was a really hard fall and it left a mark from her lip to her nose and faintly from the nose to just below the left eye.
Logan seemed to be doing better than yesterday but somehow managed to forget how to drink a bottle overnight. Perhaps we forgot how to feed him. Either way he ended up getting soaked during each feeding with milk going out the corners of his mouth, down his neck and onto his current shirt.
