Today we learned that Hailey needs glasses. Now. We knew that she would eventually need them but had reason to hope from earlier exams that it might wait until closer to kindergarten.
Intellectually we know this is "no big deal." Considering the fact that only the miracle of modern science in the form of her two eye surgeries kept her from going blind it really is "no big deal." Emotionally, it still ends up being a bigger deal than one wishes to admit.
Her prescription is OD (Right Eye) -2.5, OS (Left Eye) -1.75. The glasses should arrive sometime next week.
For the second Tuesday morning in a row Logan enjoyed being able to sleep in a quiet house without the noises of his sister to wake him. He slept until 9:30 this morning at Grandma and Grandpa's house.
