Days of this week are already a bit of a blur. I stayed up most of the night with Hailey but crashed in the afternoon. Christine slept some during the night and then again a little bit in the morning.
The first morning at home started with Christine carefully measuring Hailey's medications while I tried to keep her calm while we waited for the bottle. She needs five medicines once a day, one of them twice a day, plus pear juice twice a day and fortifier four times a day.
Caffeine - 0.8ml - Once a day
Furosemide Lasix - 0.55ml - Once a day
Lansoprazole - 0.83ml - Once a day
Poly-Vi-Sol - 1ml - Once a day
Potassium - 2.25ml - Twice a day
Pear Juice - 5ml - Twice a day
EnfaCare Lipil - Mixed with breast milk to 24 calories - Four times a day
We waited until 3pm for the call we were supposed to get for someone to come get her weight. Christine called and they will be sending someone Friday. Seeing as that did not go according to hospital plans she called the RSV shot folks about the Friday shot. This was another call we were supposed to just wait to receive. They had Hailey in their records but no concrete plans to give her the shot. The shot needs to be sent to our house, which meant Monday was the soonest that could happen. On Monday, after the shot arrives, a nurse will come out to the house. This is a little scary since the hospital wanted her to have the shot before she left the house. Now that will not happen as we need to go to both Children's and Aspen on Monday morning.
After a day of sleeping and eating (less than she should) we made our first field trip out of her room to the downstairs. It didn't last long as she didn't like it very much. She is still too small, even with towels, for her Baby Bjorn bouncer. So after we took her back to her crib I broke out the Fisher Price bouncer we have kept on standby in a box. We will use that for our next attempt at sitting in the living room while Christine and I try to eat a meal.
We made it to midnight without any real alarms on the home monitor. We did have a few alarms for loose leads.
