At 8:30 this morning Hailey had her pediatrician appointment to evaluate her lack of weight gain. Her initial weight at Aspen last Monday, November 10th, had been 5 pounds 13 ounces. Her weight today was 5 ounces higher and that alone was enough for Dr. Mayrand to not be concerned. Still, he spent several minutes checking her over and told us he thought she was just fine.
The doctor does want her electrolytes tested again on Monday. This time we were able to coordinate the blood work with Children's Home Care so that Hailey will get the blood drawn at home at the same time a nurse was already going to be checking in on Hailey.
This afternoon Jodene came over and watched Hailey while Christine slept for an hour or so.
We tried watching a movie tonight for the first time since July but Hailey would have none of it. She is sleeping right now, but unfortunately fell asleep without her monitor belt on which means we cannot really feel comfortable that she is okay without constantly checking on her. We will get the belt back on her the next time she wakes up.
