Today Hailey broke the three pound barrier. While the exact conversion is just under three pounds the weight is taken at midnight or even earlier so unless she went back in weight today she most likely really is three pounds now.
Dee, the chaplain at Children's, visited Christine and Hailey today. She has been a great source of encouragement and when I finish the backdated post for the day of Ryan's funeral there will be a really nice note about her there as well.
Hailey started steroids, Prednisolone, today in an effort to get her ready to come off of her current vent. They also continued to tweak vent settings for the same reason. This weekend they were thinking we were a week away but now we hear it could be as early as Wednesday that they attempt to make this change.
The "big event" of the day was the eye exam. It took place a few minutes before ten this evening. The eyes look good. They are of course immature, needing a follow up exam in two weeks. Tonight however the eye doctor could see that the blood vessels are growing normally and are into Zone Two.
