No Oxygen

2,395 grams = 5 pounds 4 ounces

Christine called in to Children's this morning at 6:30 and Hailey was still off of oxygen. She had desated a few times and spelled once during the night but never needed to be hooked back up to Low Flow. The experiment continued throughout the day and into the evening.

At 7:40pm she passed the 24 hour mark. She was starting to get really tired, and desating often during her 7pm feeding, so I would not be surprised if she goes back on some Low Flow tonight.

Speaking of feedings, here is how it has gone since she has been off the oxygen.

10pm - Partial bottle fed, balance by feeding tube
1am - Feeding tube
4am - Partial bottle fed, balance by feeding tube
7am - Feeding tube
10am - Feeding tube
1pm - Breastfed
4pm - Partial bottle fed, balance by feeding tube
7pm - Feeding tube

We will be taking the Reflux and CPR class Monday afternoon. This morning Christine called to get it set up and they booked us for Tuesday. This afternoon they started worrying that Tuesday might be too late because they might want to send Hailey home sooner than that. They tried to get us in this week but after checking the schedules decided Monday was the soonest time slot that worked.

The other class we may need to take would teach us to deal with oxygen tanks, etc. Hopefully that will not be necessary. Christine had a meeting this afternoon that began explaining the rest of the discharge plans including car seat test, hearing test, C-R Scan, RSV shot, etc.

Hailey's dosage of potassium has been increased. Also, to help deal with the discomfort reflux is causing her, she has started getting Prevacid. She continues getting Lasix which is why she is wearing the oversized diaper in the above picture.
